Leadership

Doug Valenti

Doug founded QuinStreet and has served as Chief Executive Officer since July 1999 and as Chairman since March 2004.

Prior to QuinStreet, Mr. Valenti served as a Partner at Rosewood Capital, a venture capital firm, for five years; as a Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Company for three years; in various management roles at Procter & Gamble for three years; and as a decorated Nuclear Submarine Officer and qualified Submarine Warfare Specialist (gold dolphins) for the U.S. Navy for five years.

Mr. Valenti is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, where he graduated with highest honors and was named the Georgia Tech Outstanding Senior; the U.S. Navy postgraduate nuclear engineering program; and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A., where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Nina Bhanap

Nina has served as our Chief Technology Officer since July 2009 and our President of Product and Technology since July 2015. She previously served as our Senior Vice President of Engineering from November 2006 to July 2009, as our Vice President of Product Development from January 2004 to November 2006, as our Senior Director from January 2003 to January 2004 and as our Director of Product Management from October 2001 to January 2003.

Prior to joining QuinStreet, Ms. Bhanap served as Head of Fixed Income Sales Technology for Europe at Morgan Stanley for five years and as a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton for one year.

She holds a B.S. in Computer Science with Honors from Imperial College, University of London, and an M.B.A. from the London Business School.

Gregory Wong

Greg has served as Chief Financial Officer since September 2013, as Vice President of Finance from June 2012 to September 2013, as Senior Director of Finance and Accounting from May 2011 to June 2012 and as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from February 2008 to May 2011.

Prior to joining QuinStreet, Mr. Wong served as Director of Finance at Lexar Media, a flash memory manufacturer, and a subsidiary of Micron Technology, Inc., from August 2006 to February 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Wong held various finance positions with both public and privately-held technology companies.

Mr. Wong holds a B.S. in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Martin J. Collins

Marty is our Chief Legal and Privacy Officer. He joined QuinStreet in April 2014.

Prior to joining QuinStreet, Mr. Collins served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Bloom Energy, a distributed energy provider, where he was in charge of all corporate development and legal matters. Prior to that, Mr. Collins was the General Counsel and Head of Internal Audit at Novellus Systems. He was also previously in charge of M&A and corporate and securities matters for Oracle Corporation’s legal department.

Mr. Collins received his law degree from Georgetown and holds a B.A from Williams College.

Tim Stevens

Tim Stevens is responsible for driving business development, corporate development, strategic partnership initiatives and market growth strategies. In this connection, Mr. Stevens oversees major media partnerships, technology and strategic alliances, our research and publishing division, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investments.

Mr. Stevens re-joined QuinStreet in 2016 from Cloudera, where he served for five years as Vice President of Global Business Development and Corporate Development. He served his first tour of duty of QuinStreet for four years prior to Cloudera as Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development, as well as President of International Operations, all in support of the company going public during this time.

Prior to QuinStreet, Mr. Stevens served as Senior Vice President of Business Services at Borland Software, and before that was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Inktomi Corporation. Mr. Stevens holds B.S. degrees in Finance and Management from the University of Oregon, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and a J.D. degree from the University of California, Davis, where he graduated Order of the Coif.

Peter Brooks

Mr. Peter Brooks has served as Senior Vice President of QuinStreet, Inc. since July 2012. Mr. Brooks previously served as Vice President from July 2010 to July 2012, as Senior Director from November 2006 to July 2010, as Director from January 2005 to November 2006, as Senior Manager from July 2004 to January 2005, as Manager from April 2003 to July 2004, and as a Business Development Representative from August 2002 to April 2003.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brooks served in various roles managing online affiliate relationships and music distribution networks at Radio Central, Liquid Audio, Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI), Universal and Atlantic Records.

Mr. Brooks holds a dual B.A in Literature and History from Claremont McKenna College.

Jeremy Crisp

Jeremy Crisp joined QuinStreet in January of 2006 as an Associate Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager. He has served as an SVP of Search Engine Marketing since June of 2017.

Prior to QuinStreet, Mr. Crisp worked for several Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software companies. He was introduced to SEM when Google AdWords was in beta, and joined QuinStreet in order to focus on the evolving media channel full time.

Mr. Crisp holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University, a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from San Jose State University, and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University.

Ashley Heller

Ashley Heller has been Chief People Officer since July 2022. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations July 2015 to June 2022, July Vice President of Operations from June 2012 to June 2015, as Senior Director of Operations from November 2007 to June 2012, as Director of Product Development from January 2005 to October 2007, as Senior Manager, Product Development from August 2002 to December 2004, and as a Marketing Manager from August 2000 to July 2002.

Ms. Heller graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in English Literature.
